Our Correspondent Abohar, May 18 The Rajasthan Police have arrested three Punjab-based couriers who allegedly took the delivery of 18 packets of heroin, each weighing 1 kg, from Pakistan-based smugglers near Border Outpost Naggi on April 10. The accused delivered these packets to their ‘masters’ in Punjab. Two high-priced pistols, made in China, were also smuggled. The international price of the drugs is assessed to be around Rs 90 crore. Tribune News Service Bathinda, May 17 The Vigilance Bureau on Thursday arrested Mansa Jail Superintendent Devinder Singh Randhawa on the charge of taking bribes from jail inmates in lieu of providing them facilities illegally. In December 2017, the VB had arrested Assistant Superintendent Sikander Singh and an inmate Pawan Kumar in the same case. Deputy Superintendent Gurjit Singh Brar is still absconding.
