Nikhil Bhardwaj Tribune News Service Ludhiana, July 11 In brazen disregard for law, an “underage” driver of a Mercedes car allegedly tried to run over a traffic policeman, forcing the latter to jump onto its bonnet to save himself, at Hero Bakery Chowk here on Wednesday. The policeman suffered minor head injuries and was admitted to a private hospital. The driver fled the scene after the incident. The police have impounded the car (PB-08-BL-0941) registered in the name of Rajesh Khaneja. Fazilka, July 11 A 60-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by some persons in Parbhat Singh Wala Hithar village in the district over a petty dispute. Six persons, including two women, have been booked for his murder.
