NAKODAR: Resentment prevails among sugar growers of Nakodar, Shahkot and Phillaur subdivisions against non- clearance of dues of more than Rs 39 crores by the Nakodar Cooperative Sugar Mill Limited. The affected farmers alleged that payments to cane growers were being delayed even after they mentioned that the mill would be responsible to clear the bills within six months of their issuance. The cane growers have visited the mill several times since November 2017 for getting the bills cleared but without success.
