Talent Hunt organized at KCW

Amritsar: Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar organized a 'Talent Hunt' in the college auditorium to welcome the new entrants and provide them with a platform to showcase their talents. Principal Dr. Manpreet Kaur was the esteemed chief guest for the occasion. In her inaugural address, she depicted her pride in the multi-talented students while welcoming them and motivated them to bloom, glow and get ready for the future challenges. She hailed the institution's initiative- 'say no to ragging’ in her address.

Bhogpur: DIPS, Bhogpur organised “ Leaf Hunt Activity” under the guidance of Principal Raminder Kaur for pre-wing students. The event was organised keeping in mind the importance of Tress, Plantation and leaves. For the activity, the parents were asked to send five to six leaves from different plants. The students pasted the leaves on the scrapbook creating beautiful patterns like butterflies, fruits, insects, etc.

Day later, officials hunt for quarry spotted by CM

Rachna Khaira Tribune news Service Jalandhar, March 7 A day after Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh spotted “illegal” mining in Nawanshahr district on his way to Kartarpur on a helicopter, the authorities are still not clear about the actual site. Nawanshahr SSP Satinder Singh claimed that the coordinates of longitude and latitude sent by the CM showed all six quarries in its area and the quarry shown in the photograph was one of these. District Mining Officer, Jalandhar, Mahesh Khanna, too, claimed ignorance about the actual location of the site. “The police must know the exact location as they had conducted a search on ground,” said Khanna, while talking to The Tribune today.
